What to do if a raccoon approaches you
In recent years the raccoon population in cities, suburban areas, and even urban areas have skyrocketed. Due to their natural Ontario raccoon removal habitat becoming smaller and smaller they have been forced to seek refuge in gardens or houses.
Are raccoons friendly?

Make sure that your pets are protected if you observe a raccoon on your property.
What to do if a raccoon approaches you.
Raccoons might try and scare you away if you are too close for comfort.
· If a raccoon charges at you it is likely just a Ontario bat removal scare tactic. Your most prudent course of action would be to move out of the way. It won't pursue you if it does not see you as a threat.
· Do not try to get a raccoon to eat out of your hand. As mentioned before they are wild animals and might bite you if approached.

· If you have water with you then attempt and throw that at the raccoon. It might be enough to frighten it away.
· Clap your hands or make a loud noise. This could startle the raccoon, and it might scurry off without any issues.

What to do if they bite you.
